48 days to go

It's hard to believe that Baby Eichenberger's due date is in 48 days. Everything is all ready for her. We have our 33 week check up tomorrow so we'll get to see her again and make sure everything is still progressing accordingly. At 28 weeks she weighed 3 lbs 11 ounces so it will be interesting to see what they approximate her weight to be now.

Below are pictures of her half of her room. She shares a room with our 4 closets. It was either that or put her one floor up...all by herself. We decided against that and put her on our floor. It's actually a pretty big room so there's plenty of space. Europe in the springtime brings out the best flowers. We're hoping to drive to Holland to see the tulips fields sometime in April but it seems as though our April is going to fly by. Scott is going to Shanghai, China next week (yes, I know...I'll be 34 weeks then so we'll pray baby will stay put until he gets home!) and then he might be going to Hungary the next. I've requested no more overnight traveling after April 18th so hopefully he and Scientific ATL will agree. So until then I'll just buy tulips at the market!

Something To Ponder

3rd Anniversary Trip

Interlaken, Switzerland A view of the Swiss Alps behind us.
The famed Matterhorn in Zermatt, Switzerland
Interlaken lies between two lakes. This is one of them.
A snowy and deserted Gimmenwald, Switzerland
Happy Anniversary, Scott!
Random huh? A Hooters in Switzerland.
Scott and I always take vacation around our anniversary each year. This year we wanted somewhere we could drive to that neither of us had been to yet. We chose Switzerland b/c it's winter here and what better time to see Switzerland.
After an 8 hour drive we arrived in Interlaken and settled into our quaint hotel. This little 3 star hotel was a hidden gem in Interlaken. We woke up every morning with spectacular views of the Alps from our windows.
We traveled to Zermatt one day to see the Matterhorn and then to a tiny town called Gimmenwald the next. All great adventures that fall under the category " adventures of scott and lacy!" Ask us about them sometime!

A few days in Amsterdam

Scott had a work trip to Amsterdam a few weeks back and I tagged along. He did his work stuff during the day and at night and I hung out at the hotel and wondered around Amsterdam.
With the baby joining our lives soon I figured I should see the museums that I want to see before she arrives. One museum being the Rijks Museum in Amsterdam. The Rijks holds quite a few Rembrandt paintings. All in all it was an ok museum. The Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam ranked higher on my list b/c I liked that period of art work better. Nothing tops the Louvre in Paris though. I have one last museum to check out and that one is in Paris - the Musee de Orsay - it houses a few Monet's. We're hoping to make one last road trip to Paris this spring and then it's all things baby here!
