Taking after Daddy
When I was in my second trimester I looked at Scott's birth certificate to see how much he weighed at birth. I was astounded to find out he weighed 9 lbs and 6 ounces. I was much smaller when I was born weighing in at 5 lbs and 11 ounces. Let's just say Baby Eichenberger is leaning more toward Daddy's birth weight than Mommy's. At 33 weeks she weighs approx. ( again all approx. b/c they are just basing it off of a head measurement) Drum Roll please:
2.839 kilograms or 6 pounds 4 ounces! That's with 7 more weeks to go...if she stays in the entire 40 weeks.
We couldn't help but giggle when the doctor told us.
I'll go ahead and address it before people secretly think it : NO, I'm not a fat cow. They recommend that you gain between 25-35 pounds over your pregnancy and I just hit 25 lbs this week.
We go back to the doctor at 36 weeks....we'll keep you updated then. Oh, and the doctor is sure the baby won't be coming next week when Scott is gone so that's a plus!

Laugh, I'm facing a similar issue. Three weeks EARLY, Damon was 8lbs! I can't imagine what he'd weigh, full-term?!
On the other hand, I was three weeks LATE and weighed 8lbs...
My hope, Baby Jotham will be right on time and a perfect 8lb average of her parents. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that, but a girl can hope, right?
Congrats on keeping the weight under control! I think I'm in trouble there too... my mom gained 40lbs for both my sister and I. Eeeks. I've done just fine thus far, but I'm pretty sure that's just due to surgery and giving up booze. Third trimester watch out!
