Thanksgiving in Paris and a Roadtrip to Amsterdam! The picture above is from the entrance to the Louvre. We arrived in Paris Wednesday night and settled into our truly European hotel and then made our way into the heart of Paris. We navigated through the Paris METRO system very smoothly. The Louvre was open late on Wednesday night so we stayed from 7-9pm. Usually it takes more than a day to do the Louvre, so we just saw the touristy stuff - Mona Lisa, Venus Di Milo, etc...We got up the next day bright and early to get a head start on the Eiffel Tower crowd. It was a little rainy with an overcast but we decided to go all the way to the top of the Tower anyway. As you can see from the picture above it was a little windy. We were estimating about 70mph winds. We then METRO'd on to see the Arc Di Triomphe and walked back down the shopping street, Champ des Elysees, where I managed to find the largest Sephora store, ever! For our Thanksgiving dinner we stopped a restaurant and I had Tilapia and Scott had a Cheeseburger.

Not to worry though, my mom is making us a Thanksgiving dinner when we go home for Christmas. Scott, anything special you want? We'll be glad to make it for you.

If you remember we briefly visited Amsterdam back in October and didn't think much of it, but this time we loved it and are making plans to go back ASAP! We did the normal tourist stuff: Anne Frank Museum, Center Square, Red Light District (twice, it wasn't quite "happening" the first time around!)
Sniff, Sniff - Damon and Danielle left yesterday and Scott is on a business trip in Brussels for 2 days and I'm all alone. I'm not a big fan of staying alone in a big house but last night went fairly smoothly. I stayed up until about 3 am -that way I was good and tired and would fall right asleep.

We're off for an extended weekend trip this weekend. On Friday late afternoon we leave for Pisa, Italy and then on to Malta. How did we pick Pisa and Malta you ask? Well, it's been too cold here for my Georgia blood so we picked the country as far south that Ryan Air would fly to. We could only get there by making a stop in Pisa so we figured that we could sightsee there for a day too.

Until next time!
